This cover aims toward the older end of the audience for this book. It implements a contrast of barbed wire with monoprint bird illustrations. The thought behind this was to have a handmade effect that was punk-inspired, like the author's favourite music. Which also reflects how honest and unfiltered this diary is. I kept some of my fingerprints on the design from the monoprint textures, as if the author has made it by hand.

The marketing for this book is implemented on social media using Penguins' preexisting layout throughout. To reflect the naturalist values of Dara, it has a guide to creating recycled birdhouses on the underside of the dust jacket.
