LoveBirds Birdseed
LoveBirds is a hypothetical Birdseed brand I created. Their aim is to market feeding birds as a fun family activity. through quirky illustrations. They value providing healthy and nourishing feed to birds, and naturally have an interest in sustainability. Their USP is the Illustrative reusable tin packaging and Bio paper refill packs. As well as a playful tone of voice unique to the market of birdseed. Their audience is families & children who value sustainability.
The tin labels reflect the refill packaging with the same branding layout, and ingredients in hearts (size relating to the number of ingredients within). I did originally consider stickers for this purpose, however, realised it would be hard to remove and difficult to recycle, defeating the purpose of the tins. Therefore, they are made of recycled paper.
The refill packaging is more simplistic than the collectable tins, to create more appeal for the tins I focused on using just one character that the audience can build familiarity with, but multiple interacting characters on to the tins. The material used would be Bio paper (biodegradable) to ensure the refills don’t come across as an attempt at greenwashing.
Marketing would be implemented with a mix of physical mock-ups of products and illustrations to demonstrate the playful nature of the brand. The illustration focus appeals to the target audience and is familiar to brands that market to families/children.
